    Though my Amazonian journey is done (for now) I feel my life’s journey has only picked up the pace. For the continuation of my journey I am going to Portland, Oregon to present a poster of my research for the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology conference. For Scholar Citizen I aim to further my goal in working with our community to take the scary out of science. I feel our society is only for the “smart people”. This is not the case at all. My goal is to help people realize how important science is for our society and how it isn’t something to be intimidated by. Lastly, I plan to attend graduate school and study the chemical mechanisms that correspond with behavior, do research, and possibly end back in academia.
